  • Spending summaries (weekly/monthly)
  • Goal progress
  • Full transaction history (optional)

Can I change my Accountability Partner?

Yes, anytime in Settings → Accountability Partner.

SpendingShield

What is SpendingShield?

SpendingShield is Whistl's AI-powered spending protection. It analyses 27 risk signals and automatically increases protection when you're at high risk of impulse spending.

How do I enable SpendingShield?

SpendingShield is enabled by default. You can adjust sensitivity in Settings → SpendingShield.

What are the 27 risk signals?

SpendingShield analyses:

  • Time of day, day of week, days since payday
  • Spending velocity (how fast you're spending)
  • Location (proximity to gambling venues, etc.)
  • Merchant category and risk level
  • Transaction amount vs. your average
  • Behavioural patterns
  • Contextual signals (stress, sleep if connected)

What happens when SpendingShield detects high risk?

Depending on risk level:

  • Medium risk: Gentle reminder
  • High risk: Cooling-off timer (1-24 hours)
  • Critical risk: Block + partner notification
